A Lot Has Happened

Whoaaa...I haven't blogged on this blog in a while. I say that because CBS Radio demanded us to start posting blogs on our radio station websites. That has taken up much of my time....hence the lack of info on my personal page. I have done a lot since May...I promise. I got married in June, honeymooned in Jamaica, brought the kids to Disney World and I'm currently learning how to dive.

Some Wedding Pics:

My Beautiful Husband

Wedding Party

My 89 year-old grandmother (Maw Maw) and all of her granddaughters. All of us are bayou bred and crawfish fed straight from Louisiana.

My Dad Walking Me Down The Aisle
We had 22 conch shells from the Bahamas placed down the aisle. In the trees my mother-in-law tied tons of beautiful little shells to the sea grape branches. The shells blew delicately in the wind as the tiki torches flickered in the sun set.

Jay Z and Taylor Swift

I have been to two shows recently that were very special to me and I have to tell you about them. The first show was Jay-Z....Jeremy's favorite. I bought him super awesome tickets that were 5Th row side stage. I have never bought tickets to a concert before and I was shocked at how expensive they were.....well worth it though! I also learned that you want to be on the right side of the stage if you want to see famous people in attendance. We saw A-ROD and P. Diddy watching the show in front of us.

JAY-Z

JAY-Z WAS THE 'ISH!

P. Diddy hiding his face from our cameras. Whatever PUFFY!

TAYLOR SWIFT
Kaylee, our 4 1/2 year old attended her very first concert and it was amazing. I will admit that I had tears in my eyes when I saw the wonderment on her face. You could see her looking around taking everything in...glow sticks, little screaming girls, lights, music, cokes/popcorn, t-shirt vendors, and TAYLOR!
The look on her face was priceless until she got very tired and asked if we could go home. She is only four so we expected that even though she had a looooong nap before we left.

KAYLEE IN HER NEW PINK COWGIRL HAT @ TAY TAY

Taylor Swift came to our section and sang right in front of us...WHAT? Taylor is in the bottom right hand corner.

Swift moved to the bottom of our section to sing another song and I got a great pic of Kiki.
Kaylee could not believe how many people were there.

Kaylee passed out right when we got in the car. Here's what she wanted to wear/bring: Sketcher twinkle toe shoes, lots of bracelets, a pink hat, a stuffed dog, and a new Taylor Swift T-shirt that we bought before the concert.

NEW Love. Angel. Music. Baby. PURSE!!!!

MY NEW L.A.M.B. PURSE

I'm addicted to anything in the L.A.M.B. clothing line which is designed by Gwen Stefani. She has been my favorite female artist since her NO DOUBT days. I had the chance to actually meet her last year when NO DOUBT toured though West Palm. It was pretty exciting!
Today is my birthday....Loper got me a new purse and I'm in love with it. I love love love it and I'm always shocked by his gift giving skills. He seriously is the best gift buyer!

LOOK AT THIS PRISON LOAF

PRISON LOAF
(andewhammel.typepad.com)
MIXING THE YUMMY INGREDIENTS
(baddog.com)

This is hilarious because I will never have to eat it! A certain type of prison food is offered to unruly inmates and it looks disgusting. It's supposed to look like real meat-loaf and a Florida Senator actually tasted it to determine if it was offensive. I really don't care if it tastes bad because we pay for it with our tax payer money.
Slate.com reports, that inmates are upset and suing over this loaf.
Prisoners in Illinois, Maryland, Nebraska, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, and West Virginia, among other states, have sued over Nutraloaf or its equivalent. The latest court to hear a Nutraloaf case is the Vermont Supreme Court, where prisoners argued that Vermont's use of the loaf violated their due process rights. (In Vermont, the punishment is one loaf, served at normal meal times, for up to a week.) Oral arguments (MP3) were heard in March, and a decision is expected to come down by the end of the year. But it doesn't look good for the prisoners. The lawyer representing the prisoners noted that "Nutraloaf has been found to be uniformly unappetizing to everyone who has been served it." To which one justice replied: "Counsel, I've eaten Nutraloaf. And it isn't tasty. But many things I've eaten aren't tasty."

RAINBOW BRIGHT is back......and I have proof.

RAINBOW BRIGHT
I was in target yesterday with my 4 year-old and she spotted something super cool...RAINBOW BRIGHT. Kaylee had no idea what she had discovered she just thought the doll was pretty and colorful. I had to buy it since she was so interested...ok, I really wanted it. Kaylee has never even seen the cartoon, but I can't wait for her to get into the story.

Rainbow Bright was introduced in 1984 and by 1986 she had her own cartoon.

(api.ning.com)
Rainbow Bright brought color back into the world where color was lost. She also had 2 companions, a horse called Starlite and a sprite called Twink. Plus she had 7 other friends called, Color Kids who represented each color of the rainbow. Each Color Kid had their own Sprite too. It sounds confusing but I promise it's not! By the way...SPRITES are my favorite and their adorable.

KING CAKES and other NOLA stuff

It has come to my attention that many South Florida residents have no idea that they are missing out on KING CAKES.
(ehow.com)
It's a large baked cinnamon circle with Mardi Gras colored icing dripping down the sides. A plastic baby is hidden inside the cake which brings you good luck if you pick the highly prized slice.
You can also get fruit or chocolate fillings, but the original is the best and it's what I grew up on.
The cream cheese KING CAKE is a close second though :)
This is where my family gets our KING CAKES from:

I grew up in Mandeville, Louisiana, but was actually born in a charity hospital in the heart of New Orleans....Independence, Louisiana. I was bayou bred and crawfish fed at an early age. My parents would invite their friends over for crawfish/crab boils and at the age of 5 I could out-peel anyone. We have our own way of life and since we won the Super Bowl I feel like people would like to know more about the place I call home.

Most Famous New Orleans Bar: Pat O' Briens
They have a famous red drink called "Hurricane" and people chug it down like it's kool-aid. It's so famous that they even sell the mix on their website.
www.Patobriens.com/patobriens/
BEST MUFFULETTA IN NOLA: Hands down, CENTRAL GROCERY on Decatur St. If you love green olives, this sandwich was made for you. Order your muffuletta to go with a Barq's root beer and you will thank me :)
They don't have a website so here's their phone number: 504-523-1620
(virtualtourist.com)

BARQ'S ROOT BEER: Established in 1890 in the New Orleans French Quarter.

Most Famous Cafe: Cafe Du Monde was established in 1862 in the New Orleans French Market. They serve the best BEIGNETS, the powdered sugar choking you as you inhale your first bite. The Acadians introduced these sugary sweet fried golden squares to Louisiana.

(Mikezook.com)

ACADIANS: They were French settlers exiled from Canada who moved to Louisiana. My mom was born and grew up in the heart of Acadiana.....HOUMA, LOUISIANA. Only 22 Parishes (NOT counties) make up the "REAL" Cajun people.

MARDI GRAS is just not one day! We celebrate for about 2 1/2 weeks all the way up to FAT TUESDAY which is when we end our celebrations. That day is the craziest of them all....a day to go overboard and get carried away with eating, drinking, and partying because ASH WEDNESDAY is the next day. If you see people with black markings on their forehead on Ash Wednesday, don't be alarmed...they are Catholic.

PARADES: In Louisiana, we hold elaborate productions called parades. The floats are sometimes 2 to 3 stories high and have been worked on for months. You shout, "Throw me something mister" at all the floats and hope you make a catch. I have caught plastic cups, beads, doubloons, panties, stuffed animals, moon pies, coconuts (only at the ZULU parade), fake guns and spears, and random toys.

I JUMPED AGAIN....SKYDIVING RULES

LOPER SMITTY AND RANDI AT SKYDIVE ADVENTURES

Me before the jump getting super nervous.

It's crazy looking out of the plane at 16,000 feet and knowing you're about to fall. I always change my mind at the last minute...my brain kicks in and freaks out. Both times I was jumping tandem so I had no choice but to jump when my instructor did..haha. We fell for 2 miles before our shoot opened and it was AMAZING!! During our first mile of free falling we did tons of flips because my 1st jump was mild since it was my first time. I wanted a crazy ride this time and damn did I get one.
Loper's cousin/my friend Sean...we have jumped together twice!!

KAYLEE PICKED OUT HER........

FLOWER GIRL DRESS

Kaylee kissing daddy in her flower girl dress and Dora socks..haha. She was so excited to try them on and was dancing all around while modeling in the mirrors.

I think her tiny shoulder blades are adorable. The little yellow ribbon adds a cute touch and matches the bridesmaids dresses. I think she will wear ballet slippers on the sand....I hear little ones trip and have a hard time in flip flops while concentrating. Should I dye the slippers butter yellow?

Kaylee will be throwing light yellow rose petals down the aisle mixed with baby seashells. She will also have a flower crown for her hair. We are looking through magazines for the perfect example to give our flower lady, Darines from Simply Flowers.

Darines is awesome and can do anything. Here's her number and link if your looking for someone to help you with flowers: 561-630-4478 http://www.simplyflowerspalmbeachgardens.com/ .

You can order flowers 24/7 from her site just for you slackers out there. OH and don't forget Valentine's Day is next week.

Jersey Whore --Ronnie Gets With Other Woman

OMG...just got off the phone with JWOW from the "Jersey Shore" and she broke some news to us. Ronni apparently cheated on Sammie sweetheart on Tuesday night at a club in Long Island.
JWOW said, "Hurry go to TMZ and look at the pics. I just got a text from Sammi and she is so upset, she loves that kid."

I attached the link to TMZ so you can see the pics for yourself. Loper and I think the pics look old.....Ronni looks younger to us. What do you think?

CONFIRMED.....CONAN LEAVES NBC

Pic: chicagonow.com
His last show is this Friday and Conan makes out even better than we thought!! He's reached a $45 million settlement with NBC. Conan will get 32.5 million severance even if he gets another job on another network. His "Tonight Show" staff will get 7.5 million to split and his executive producer gets 4.5 million!

"JERSEY SHORE" SEASON 2......

BITCHES!!!!!(THE CAST)
My future husband and I are obsessed with MTV's latest ratings success, the "Jersey Shore." I have already proved to him why we must watch "The Hills" and now MTV has something that trumps Audrina, Heidi, and Kristen!

The Guidos and Guidette's attracted 3.6 Million viewers and placed first among 12-34 year-olds. More people are tuning in every week...it's up 9% this week from previous record breaking ratings.

I have read so many websites and blogs saying the "Jersey Shore" SEASON 2 IS ON!! All signs point to YES, but, I'm still waiting for MTV to confirm it. Tonight is the season finale @ 10 P.M. on MTV.

(THE JERSEY SHORE PIER)
I just found an article breaking down what each cast member makes per appearance at a night club. The cast as a whole makes $30,000 per appearance. Some members making more than others.....Mike "The Situation", Pauly D, and Snooki get $7,500 per appearance. Ronnie and Sammie go together as a package deal for $3,000 and Vinny gets $3,500.
